Materials
Our umbrellas are handmade using age old techniques adapted to modern-day usage and built to last season after season.
We design our products with longevity in mind, as to design sustainably means to design umbrellas to last. We want every umbrella to live a long productive life, so we always prioritise the highest quality materials and construction.
We use the surplus materials from our umbrella canopies to create our reusable bags. We use the equivalent of 6 recycled plastic bottles for each bag.
We use 100% certified biodegradable poly-bags, which means you can relax that all of our packaging is fully biodegradable in landfill. All packaging we use to ship at every stage of production is also fully recyclable.
We are conscious that producing anything new has an impact on the environment. We are continuously working to eliminate waste at every stage of production.
9 Plastic Bottles
Our umbrella canopies are crafted from rPET, a recycled fabric made from post-consumer waste. We recycle 9 plastic bottles per umbrella and 6 plastic bottles for each reusable bag. This material is both versatile and strong.
rPET SCS Recycled Content
Our fabric is certified SCS recycled content. rPET production uses less energy and emits less CO2 compared to polyester and nylon, significantly reducing our environmental footprint by diverting plastic bottles from waste streams.
Sustainable Birch Wood
Our umbrella handles are made from FSC certified sustainable solid birch wood. Each umbrella is lightweight, compact, and equipped with an automatic push button.
High-Strength Frame
Our wind-resistant frames are constructed using high-strength steel and fiberglass, ensuring durability and resilience in any weather.
