TikTok Growth Strategist
Location: Clapham, London
Type: Full-time
Start Date: ASAP
Compensation: Competitive, based on experience and engagement scope
About Original Duckhead
Original Duckhead is a design-led, sustainable brand reinventing the umbrella. You’ll find us in Selfridges, MoMA Design Store, and select retailers across the globe. Our umbrellas are instantly recognisable, award-winning, and made from 100% recycled fabric.
We’re a certified B Corp with sustainability and creativity at the core of everything we do.
Now, we’re building TikTok into a strategic D2C growth channel and we’re looking for someone who knows how to turn views into revenue.
The Role
We’re hiring a TikTok Growth Strategist to lead our presence on TikTok, from creative direction and content production to paid amplification, analytics, creator partnerships, and TikTok Shop.
This is not a content creator role. It’s a performance-led, growth-focused position for someone who understands how to build a scalable revenue engine on TikTok.
We want someone who knows how to create native, engaging video, but also how to leverage influencers, optimize TikTok Shop, and run live shopping campaigns that convert. You’ll be embedded with the wider marketing and eCommerce teams, contributing both strategically and creatively to Original Duckhead’s next chapter.
What You’ll Own
- Develop and execute a full TikTok growth roadmap across the UK and US
 - Produce and post native, brand-aligned video content using TikTok-native tools
 - Manage TikTok Shop: product content, tagging, sales optimisation
 - Lead and schedule Live Shopping events, integrating with our eCommerce calendar
 - Build and manage a network of 50–100 micro-creators, ensuring niche fit and ROI
 - Define and report on performance KPIs: ROAS, conversions, trend velocity, completion rate
 - Identify and boost organic hits through smart paid support
 - Collaborate cross-functionally on campaigns, product launches, and influencer seeding
 - Contribute to light design work using Canva or Adobe (e.g. overlays, social assets)

You’ll Need To Show Us
- That you’ve scaled TikTok for a D2C brand with measurable results (revenue, ROAS, growth)
 - That you’re fluent in TikTok trends, formats, storytelling, and algorithmic behavior
 - That you’ve managed TikTok Shop and/or Live Shopping campaigns
 - That you know how to brief and manage creators, structure performance tiers, and drive seeding campaigns
 - That you’re strategic, commercial, and detail-driven, not just creative
 - That you’re based in London and available on-site in Clapham 4–5 days/week

What You’ll Get
- A high-impact growth role with full ownership of TikTok performance
 - A seat at the table as we scale globally
 - Hybrid working
 - Flexible start/finish times around content demands and performance scheduling
 - Product allowance + team gifting
 - A brand-new office space in Clapham, London
 - A chance to work with a B Corp-certified brand that’s changing how people think about design, sustainability, and everyday products
 - A creative, fast-moving team that genuinely cares about good ideas and getting things done

Our 6-Month Goal
- TikTok is generating consistent revenue via TikTok Shop and driving traffic to our Shopify store
 - We’ve built a scalable creator seeding engine
 - Organic hits are being repurposed into evergreen paid ads
 - We’re running Live Shopping events that convert
 - TikTok is a key performance channel with weekly growth targets and ROI reporting

To Apply
Please send:
- 2–3 TikTok campaigns or posts you’ve created or led (with context and performance data if possible)
 - A short note on how you would approach growing TikTok for Original Duckhead in the first 3 months
 - Your availability and salary expectations

This role goes beyond bookkeeping — it’s about building strong financial foundations, analysing margins, and helping us make smarter, faster decisions as we scale internationally.
You’ll work closely with our external accountant (who manages VAT, year-end, and management accounts) and internal teams to ensure all financial data, reconciliations, and reporting are accurate, timely, and actionable.

 - Reconcile Shopify, Stripe, Faire, and 3PL data monthly.
 - Prepare accruals, prepayments, and journals.
 - Oversee accounts receivable and payable, including chasing overdue invoices and maintaining healthy cash flow.
 - Reconcile inventory balances monthly across 3PLs and Xero to ensure accurate COGS and stock valuation.
 - Liaise with suppliers, 3PL partners, and freight forwarders to maintain accurate landed cost data and payment schedules.
 - Support the accountant with audit and compliance requirements.

Landed Cost & Margin Analysis
- Calculate true landed cost per SKU and collection, incorporating unit cost, freight, duties, tariffs, warehousing, and FX.
 - Maintain a margin tracker by region and channel (Wholesale, D2C, Marketplace).
 - Ensure all pricing decisions and promotions maintain target profitability.
 - Monitor FX movements and payment platform fees to protect margins.

Reporting & Forecasting
- Build monthly internal management reports, including P&L by region/channel, gross margin, and overheads.
 - Maintain a rolling cash flow forecast, highlighting upcoming risks and opportunities.
 - Support budgeting and scenario planning for new product launches and distributor growth.
 - Provide financial data for B-Corp and sustainability reporting where needed.

Collaboration & Systems
- Work cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Sales, and E-Commerce to ensure financial accuracy.
 - Identify and implement process improvements or automation (Shopify–Xero–3PL integration, dashboards).
 - Support the CEO with financial analysis for strategic and operational decisions.

What You’ll Bring
- 4+ years’ experience in consumer goods, fashion, or eCommerce (B2B + D2C).
 - Strong understanding of bookkeeping, cost accounting, and management reporting.
 - Advanced Excel/Sheets skills (pivot tables, formulas, margin analysis).
 - Proficiency with Xero, Shopify, Stripe, and multi-currency accounting.
 - Hands-on, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-moving SME environment.
 - Qualified or part-qualified (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) desirable.

Why Join Original Duckhead
- Impact: Be part of a purpose-driven, design-led brand making sustainable products that last.
 - Growth: Opportunity to shape a growing finance function and progress into an Operations Manager role as the company scales.
 - Flexibility: Flexible working hours and one work-from-home day per week (currently Thursdays).
