Our umbrellas are handmade using age old techniques adapted to modern-day usage and built to last season after season.
We design our products with longevity in mind, as to design sustainably means to design umbrellas to last. We want every umbrella to live a long productive life, so we always prioritise the highest quality materials and construction.
We use the surplus materials from our umbrella canopies to create our reusable bags. We use the equivalent of 6 recycled plastic bottles for each bag.
Wooden handles
Our handles are made from carefully selected wood. Depending on the style, we use different wood types chosen for durability, comfort, and finish.
We ask suppliers for documentation on material composition and origin.
High-Strength Frame
Our frames are made using a combination of steel and fibreglass for strength and flexibility, helping our umbrellas stand up to windy days and daily use.
rPET recycled fabric
Our canopy fabric is made from rPET, a recycled material created from post-consumer plastic. It is SCS Recycled Content certified, which verifies recycled content through an independent standard.
Using recycled inputs helps reduce reliance on virgin materials and keeps plastic in use for longer.

2. How many plastic bottles are used in an Original Duckhead canopy?
Depending on the style and size, each canopy uses fabric made from the equivalent of up to nine plastic bottles.
3. Is your recycled content independently certified?
Yes. Our canopy fabric is SCS Recycled Content certified, which verifies recycled content through an independent standard.
