The Umbrella Industry's Critical Flaw: Throwaway Culture

1 billion umbrellas end up in landfill annually.

Our journey began with identifying a critical flaw: the umbrella industry's throwaway culture. Our founder's solution was simple: design umbrellas that repurpose plastic waste, using post-consumer bottles to create our umbrella canopies, addressing both waste and the global climate crisis.

We champion sustainable values and aim to encourage thoughtful consumerism through the use of recycled plastic waste in the creation of our products. Being intentional about your daily essential items can lead to a substantial decrease in waste for a healthier planet.

Our goal is to recycle 10 million post-consumer plastic bottles by 2030.

We recycle 9 post-consumer plastic bottles to create each one of our umbrellas, and 6 for every reusable bag. Our fabric is certified SCS recycled content. rPET production uses less energy and emits less CO2 compared to polyester and nylon. rPET significantly reduces our environmental footprint by diverting plastic bottles from waste streams.

bSo far, we have recycled over 4 million post-consumer plastic bottles and our goal is to recycle over 10 million by 2030.
