How To Celebrate Valentine’s Day Sustainably

How To Celebrate Valentine's Day Sustainably

/

This Valentine's Day, share the love with our eco-friendly umbrellas and reusable bags. Created for your everyday adventures, built with integrity, and designed to last.

/

Give your loved one a gift designed with longevity in mind, and a present that they’ll use all year round (especially in rainy England!).

/

Every idea starts with a problem. Ours was simple: there is a vital flaw in the throwaway culture surrounding the umbrella industry. We are driven to change the perception of  umbrellas seen as short-term disposable products, as this is creating a huge waste issue and contributing to our global climate crisis.

What Makes Valentine’s Day Unsustainable?

/

At Original Duckhead, we believe that similar to Christmas, Valentine’s Day has become more about overindulgence than the true meaning and sentimentality behind where it all began — expressing feelings of love, gratitude and appreciation.

/

As we’re all making active choices as a society to be more conscious of our own personal environmental impact, it seems nonsensical to continue to buy the type of traditional Valentine’s Day gifts such as non-recyclable cards, flowers, decorations and novelty presents which are only appreciated on the day and then further contribute to the extreme waste issue and climate crisis.

/

We believe in celebrating the people in your life with non-disposable gifts they will cherish season after season. Our reusable eco friendly Valentine’s gifts are something everyone needs to use everyday, and with an entire rainbow of colours and prints available, we have something for everyone.

/

Although, obviously, we are a (little!) biassed. Here is a list of fun eco friendly gift ideas to treat your loved one to this Valentine’s Day.
